Dama Financial Online Privacy Policy

What you need to know:

  • Client security is our top priority, and every Dama Financial employee and business partner is held to strict privacy and security rules.
  • Our servers are protected by high-end firewall systems, and scans are performed regularly to ensure any vulnerabilities are quickly found and patched. All services have quick failover points and redundant hardware, with complete backups performed nightly. We use Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption, also know as HTTPS, for all transmitted data.
  • We protect your information with 128-bit encryption.
  • The account application requests personal and business information through our secure servers. We’ll never ask you to send us sensitive information such as account number, Social Security number or Tax ID over text or email. If you do receive a request like this or any suspicious phishing email, please forward it to us at phishing@damafinancial.com. We will only reply to your message if we require additional information.

What you can do to help:

  • Be sure to keep your contact information current, especially your email and mobile phone number. You can update this information in the Online Account Center.
  • Do not write down passwords or keep them in computer files that be easily found. There are password manager tools available which offer a secure, centralized location for your user names and passwords.
  • Use a strong, unique password for each of your accounts. A strong password is at least 8 characters long, includes one or more uppercase letters, numbers and symbols. Do not use your birthday, address, phone number, children’s names or other easily guessed information in your password.
  • Change your password at least every 90 days.
  • Install an anti-virus program on your desktop computer, and a mobile security and identity protection security application for your mobile phone.
  • Only download software or applications from well-known or trusted sources. Never click a link from an unknown source or sender.
  • Install system and software updates (patches or service packs).
  • Turn off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth services when you aren’t using them. Avoid using public Wi-Fi for financial transactions unless you use a secure, private connection, like VPN software.
  • Shut down and restart your computer and mobile phone regularly. This helps clear your browser’s cache and install important software updates when they are available.
